The Ash Homestead is near the Broadway/Fillmore neighborhood and is on a six acre parcel of land. Nearly half of the land is an orchard with dozens of old heirloom apple trees. There are also cherry and pear trees, blackberries and black raspberries. It is an urban food forest teeming with wildlife, such as deer, rabbits, wild turkeys and flocks of birds throughout the year.
The garden utilizes about half an acre of the land, while the Farmer Pirates use about an acre for making compost.
Who Runs the Farm
The homestead is a small family operation run by Alex and Dan.
The homestead does not currently sell produce.
